F&B tech startup KAMEREO has successfully raised $4.6 million in a Series A funding round co-led by seed investors Quest Ventures, CPF Group and Genesia Ventures.

KAMEREO is Vietnam’s first ever technology-enabled supplier for restaurants, hotels, cafes, retail shops and offices. It’s a one-stop platform where farmers, producers, importers and buyers connect to trade a range of fruit and vegetable products at the best prices.

With the raising of USD 4.6 million from the Series A funding round, KAMEREO said that this capital will help the company strengthen its human resources and expand its operations to Hanoi next year, and at the same time build a warehouse management system to optimize daily operations.

In addition, the company will also continuously improve the user experience and service quality of websites and applications on the App Store, Google Play, and expand the scope of technology application.

KAMEREO is currently planning to expand its product line offering, starting with meat products. The company plans to purchase this product through its partner, CP Vietnam.

KAMEREO was established in 2018, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City. The company's goal is to help chefs and restaurateurs focus on their culinary expertise and serve their customers, by assisting them in negotiation and order processing with suppliers, and managing orders. Currently, KAMEREO's team has about 100 employees and can meet the needs of more than 400 regular customers.

Ms. Goh Yiping, representative of Quest Ventures, was impressed by Kamereo's ability to implement a comprehensive supply chain and market knowledge for the "farm to fork" model in Vietnam. Takahiro Suzuki, representative of Genesia Ventures, said he will continue to support the KAMEREO team in realizing the company's vision of "redefining the food business"

While intermittent lockdowns and the halting of inbound international tourism have caused plenty of upheaval, F&B tech startup KAMEREO overcame a rocky start to 2020 by growing 15% every month over the last year.
